hello hello~~~not sure if anyone will read this blog recently. Honestly, i almost forgot about this blog until one day i was carving for cheese cake and asked Abby for the recipe XP she directed me to this blog caused Manzy had posted the recipe here last time.

So, here I am!!=P for the cheese cake recipe and also drop by to say HI HI^^

how is everyone? seem like we are heading to different pathways now. I'm just graduated from my postgraduate diploma, currently UNEMPLOYED!! hanging around and enjoying my life....no more assignments and no more exams for me....which is a good thing and also a bad thing=P

even though the economic crisis really hit the employment rate and affect the business nowadays, i believe that there is always an opportunity behind it....when God close one door, He will definitely open another door for you....so for those who just graduate like me, let's hope for the best and prepare for the worst;)

till then, hopefully someone will response to this blog=P all the best in your career/studies/life^^

Hi all my supergeng cell buds!!

Char char misses all of you!!! Hehe..life's been a bed of roses since I got back..it's all about food and shopping and sleep everyday!! Haha..not forgetting to spend lotsa time with God too!! Just want to let all of you know that I'm alive and safe back home! Miss all of you so much and the usual fridays I have with you all. Its not the same here without everyone! Am keeping all of you in prayers, not forgetting our dear Estee who's still doing her thesis & taking her exam soon. Don't worry Estee we won't enjoy too much just to make u feel better!!

Hehe..Oh..I need all of you to just pray for me if you can..am seeking God's direction for my life now..It's either home or Perth next next year..so please pray for God to reveal His plans for me. Don't want to regret the decision later in life..you know..I'm not getting any younger too *grinz*

Would like to invite all of you to come for a relaxing and fun retreat after your exams :) Details:

CampSite: Camp Leschenautia (Chidlow)

Dates: 29-30th June

Time: 1:30pm (Reach at Campsite on Friday) - 6pm (Saturday)

Price: Around $30-$33

The 2-day retreat is organized by the Drama Ministry, but it's not only for people who are in drama (no, this is not to pull you in to drama also :P). It's just to have fun together after all the exams stress. Activities include team-building games, acting games, nightwalk, campfire and worship, eating, mmmmm :) The cost includes accomodation and food as well.

Deadline for registration is 23rd June 2007. If you are not going back for holidays yet, I'd encourage you guys to come!

Last year's one was really fun, I had this supergeng pizza called Chicken Fettucine Pizza, amazing!! Chicken pasta on top of pizza!! It was rated as one of the world's best!! :) This year we r having it again!! ~~It's been one year... I miss you pizza....~~ Seems like my excitement is around pizza, hmm... but of course I had lots of fun too other than food :P

Hello!

Hope all of you are doing well in your assignments and reports :) Just wanna post some info on this Sunday. This Sunday service is gonna be supergeng the EXCITING, coz it's in the evening! That's right, this is a good chance for all of us to invite our friends/enemies/housemates/uni-mates/food-mates/toilet-mates/
pingpong-mates yeahh! Especially those who like to sleep-in in the morning, ~~people like voon~~ won't mention their names here lah coz not very nice lah :)

To add on to that, Pastor Josh Moyo (not mayo) is coming to preach! That's the guy who talked in the Easter Camp (the Gophhhhhaaaarrrrrrrrr wood guy), and I believe like the sermon on the camp, this one is gonna be very impactful as well Amen?? So invite your friends to come and be blessed together!!

I, Charlyn Tan, would like to express my deepest gratitude across to every single person in cell that has in any way, contributed to helping me recover from my sickness. Be it cooking chicken soup, praying, encouraging, laughed at my sexy deep voice or standing in to do last minute cell preparations. I just wanna say I love you all so much and I really appreciate all of you.

I am just so amazed at what God has done through every single baptism candidate today. What they are today is a journey that God has brought them through by His perfect timing. I believe firmly that God is faithful, and He will fulfill His promises to you, you just have to wait and pray patiently for His perfect will to be done. As I am sitting on my comfy leather chair in my living room trying to do my assignment, God just challenged me to rise up to be the generation that will stand up for Him NO MATTER WHAT through this song.

Challenge today:
Are you willing to be someone who will stand strong in your faith no matter what?? Even if its gonna cost you your finances, family or even your lfe.. will you still stand up and declare your faith for Him? You will only know what God desires for your life when you understand His character and feel His heartbeat (Read the bible more often!!).

Ask God to break your heart for what breaks His, so you will see how much it hurts God when we sin, or when people reject Him and turn away from Him. God's heart was broken when Jesus was hanging on the cross crying in pain, but He did it so that our sins may be forgiven. Feel the compassion God has for the lost, so that each day you live, you strive to fulfill His purposes, rather than living for our own selfish needs and desires.

Ask God to open your eyes up to see what He sees, so that our hearts are focused on things of eternity, not on things that we can see in the short run and worry about. Our results, the amount of money we earn, the small mistakes we make, they are just part and parcel of life. God wants us to set our eyes on things that will help us to grow here on earth so that when we finally get to heaven, it will just be perfect.

God is love, and He always wants the best for us, the children that He carefully and uniquely made. Psalm 23 always lifts me up when I am discouraged or dejected. I hope it speaks to you as well.

I, Manzy, would like to personally thank everyone again for coming over to my house and surprise me on the night of my birthday. This has been the FIRST bday surprise in my life and I am very very very BERRY happy! :D

As for the wallet and necklace, Thanx SO much. I'm sure the necklace is very expensive and I feel very very paiseh to accept it de. Especially this is the first true solid diamond and gold necklace. I will definately treasure it and guard it with allllll my life. (not only cuz it is precious stone but also cause it is a cross ^^)

An exciting and relaxing event is coming up this saturday the 19th of May. Nick from our church (policeman) is organising for a bushwalk from 8am to 3pm in Whistle Pipe Gully, Lesmurdie. I would like to extend a warm invitation for all of you to come along and join him as he brings you out into the bushland to explore the beauty of Western Australia and adore God's creation.

I would very much like to go as I have not visited the outback yet. And i hope that most of you can come and join me so we can go together as a cell group outing as we have not done so in ages. Please let me know by tuesday night 15th May so I can contact Nick to make the arrangements.

The Strength To ‘Go And Sin No More’

Hi guys,

Just thought of sharing this devotional with you which I read today. It is related to what we shared in cell group on Friday on holiness. We talked along the line of holiness and sin does not come together, that we are called to live a holy life, and also about how to avoid sin. I pray and hope that you find it helpful and that knowing the truth will set you free :) If you have questions please do not hesitate to let me know, I am always here for you :P Read on:

John 8:11
11… “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”

Imagine you were there at the temple when the woman caught in adultery was brought before Jesus by the scribes and Pharisees. Would you have expected Jesus to condemn her for her sin? Maybe you would have been surprised to hear Him say, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” (John 8:7) After all, she was caught in the very act of adultery.

Jesus, the only one in the crowd who truly had the power to condemn her, would not. If you had eavesdropped on their conversation after the crowd had left, you would have heard Him ask her, “Woman… Has no one condemned you?” (John 8:10)

He spoke such words of grace to her because He loved her. Also, by asking her the question, He was giving her a chance to speak words of no condemnation to herself — “No one [condemns me], Lord.”

Jesus not only spoke words of grace to her, He also gave her the gift of no condemnation — “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”

Could He do that? She did commit a serious sin. Had God gone soft on sin and compromised His holy standards? Of course not! Jesus could say that to her because He knew that He would be punished for her sins on the cross. He was therefore able to give her the gift of no condemnation.

Today, you have the gift of no condemnation because the Son of God was condemned for all your sins. (Romans 8:1) God cannot condemn you when you sin because He is faithful and just to what His Son has done.

But we still find people saying, “Go and sin no more first, and then I won’t condemn you.” But God says, “I don’t condemn you. Go and sin no more.” God gives you the gift of no condemnation so that you have the strength to go and sin no more!

He Still Performs Miracles

Hey guys..I've something powerful to share with u all..

John 11:40
40Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”

God, who parted the Red Sea, rained manna from heaven, caused the Jericho walls to fall, shut the lions’ mouths, healed the sick, raised the dead and calmed the sea, still performs miracles today.

However, some Christians doubt that God wants to work a miracle for them today. They believe that there were miracles when Jesus walked the earth, but they think that the day of miracles is over. And they talk about how everything will be perfect one day in the sweet by and by. But God wants us to know that He is still the God of miracles today.

Martha was like one of those Christians. She wondered if Jesus could perform a miracle when her brother Lazarus died. By the time Jesus arrived on the scene, Lazarus had already been dead for four days. So she thought that Jesus was four days too late. That is why she said, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.” (John 11:21) And even when Jesus said that Lazarus would rise again, she said, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” (John 11:24)

Martha believed that Jesus could perform miracles in the past and would do the same in the future, but she did not believe that He could give her a miracle when she needed it.

You see, Martha was someone who lived wishing that the past could be changed and believing that the future would be better. But she did not believe that the “I Am” was there to meet her present need.

Today, God stands at the point of your need. What miracle are you expecting from Him? Believe that He is still the same miracle-working God today. Believe that you will see the glory of God. Believe and you will see your miracle!

Hello all supergeng cell members!!

I hope everyone is still surviving the torture of uni. I'm almost dying already havent had proper sleep these few days. Been falling asleep with the lights on and computer still running. But i guess after this week it should be better. I have a presentation tommorow but having sore throat now so pls pray for me that I can get my full voice back.

As for cell group this week, many of you have requested to go for the worship session with Reuban Morgan on Friday. There were some suggestions to moving cell group to either thursday or Saturday. However, not everyone can make it for cell either of the two days so we've decided that for the benefit of everyone, we'll still hold cell group on Friday, starting at 7.30 PM. I know its' a pity that we can't go for the worship session but you know what? This friday, we're gonna have our very own Choon Choon and Estee play guitar! Isn't that more exciting that anything else?? I can't wait!! Alright..Choon will update you on the roster for this week.

Just a kind reminder that we are revealing our Angel-mortal next Friday. I really wanna give a huge hug and say many thanks to my angel for his/her encouragement throught this tough period, and trying ways to meet my needs. I know I'm super slow, everyone knows who my angel is already but i'm still confused.

Yo yo supergengcell!

I realized that I've not been too active in blog, but seeing u all blog makes me wanna blog. What's been happening to me was that I took a leave yesterday (didn't go work) to see doctor about my skin rashes...

but the doctor also don't know what's happening...

in the end she prescribed some creams, which I bought from the pharmacy later. Today praise God, not much itchiness already

I also want to ask for prayers, please pray for healing that I won't scratch so much, coz if I scratch too much I won't be as ~~handsome~~ ~~cute~~ healthy. Prayers of the righteous God hears :)

Taking leave feels good! I can take time off to do laundry, watch TV, eat snacks, doing things that normal people do that I haven't been doing for so long :P I guess all of us needs some time off sometime. I'm now in office, nothing much to do, looking forward to see you in cell!

haiz today i got diarrhea..went toilet so many times le...anybody got diarrhea? i figured it shld be the jap food...coz all other food i had after tt was home food..wahah my own food shld be safe lor!! dun anyone try to disagree ah..heehehee.... today i scared one of my subway customer man. coz i was in a moment of intense stomach cramps when he ordered his sub. so can u imagine someone bending down, face all white sweaty and asking you ' what cheese would u like? hello! :D i will now.. give out the recipe for.. the marble cheesecake!!:D

you will need:
-3 pieces of philedelphia cream cheese (the one with silver box)
-one piece lemon (which u actually need to grate the skin of it n one teaspoon (or more if u wan XD) of its juice
-plain flour 120g
-sugar 50gram. (i put more than 50 tho.. i think more than a hundred =p)
-whipping cream (i bought the brownes brand one.. 300 ml)
-5 eggs (seperate the yolk n the white slime thingy xD)
-1 table spoon milk (yes, one.)
-butter
-chocolate

weapons:
-one pan thingy to bake the cake
-another pan thingy but abit bigger.. so that u can put the one for baking it..but have water. (steam bake)
-the thingy to make the flour fine (i dunno wats it called T.T)
-mixing machine
-lots of spoon xD
-2 buckets to mix the stuff XD (not bowls arh..)

Time:
90 mins

Degrees:
150. (do preheat the oven okie!)

first, u MUST leave the cream cheese out for an hour or so..as long as its soft la.. then..u can start using the mixing machine n blend the cheese. one by one wud be better. then add the sugar. keep mixing still very nice n soft n yea no more sugar bits left. n then!! this will be totally different. abandon the cheese+sugar.. n start mixin another bucket (i dono how to call it T.T) then! on the other one.. take the egg white only.. and start mixing it with the mixing machine thingy. (remember to wash the mixing thing b4 u start beating the egg white.) so.. mix/beat it til its fluffy. then add in one teaspoon/tablespoon (whichever u like..) of lemon.then.. pour the whole fluffy egg white+lemon into the one where u mixed the cheese n sugar. then blend/mix it more.until its soft n creamy. then.. add in the whipping cream while the machine is still mixing it. atleast leave 1/4 left in the box of 300ml. the whipping cream determines the softness of the cake. so the more the softer. 230g of whipping cream yeapz. (or more kekek)

then.. when ur done with that whipping cream.. add in the yolk of the 5 eggs. continue mixing while putting in the egg yea. n then when the egg finish mixing, next will be the plain flour. mix mix somemore. then lastly.. add in the grated lemon. (incase i spelled rongly.. grated means like tiny shreds of the lemon skin.. like shreded cheese.. heehee).

then, leaving that aside, melt some chocolate (not too much, not too many, depends on u actually.cuz i cant measure chocolate..cuz don need so much) u can melt it by putting the chocolate in cup n put in microwave ^^. then when its done melted ah.. u add in some of the batter u've mixed earlier. some oh not so much ^^ its just so u can make the middle chocolate layer and top design later. so yea. when mix the batter n chocolate in cup.. put that aside again.

then butter the sides n bottom of ur pan. then back to the batter uve mixed.. pour half or more onto the pan that ur gonna use for baking the cake. then when ur done with that, pour in half of the chocolate n batter mix onto the pan of batter. spread it.. or leave it, its ok. then finaly, pour the rest of the batter in the pan. thennnn.. u still got the choco mix right? pour that on top.. or just use a spoon or sumthing to design the top. but better pour all n cincai design anything using a chopstick. unless u want wordings.. then yea..spoon or watever can do ^^. then when done.. u can bake it liao. ^^

when 90mins is over.. poke the cake with sumthing to see if its done.. if not.. heat somemore lo ^^ (like wat charlyn did for meee!)

p.s- my first try was BAD!!! lol! cause i didnt have the "Weapon" to grate the lemon skin so i end up cutting pieces off.. so yea u can see bits of lemons skin very the obvious in the cake. blech. second time was.. yea perfect but i didnt butter the pan so it was stuck on the pan T.T then this was actually my third try :D hehe! scary eh? i was so nervous it might turn out bad on that night.. but phew~~ it didnt give any of us tummy ache. weeeeeeeee~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *spin spin*

As discussed previously, we're gonna have a picnic this coming sunday at Millpoint South Perth. We'll go right after church at about 12.30pm. If you would like to contribute to make something, please let Debbie Loh a.k.a princess know ok? Anyway suggestions what to do other than eat, i.e games etc pls let me know.

Next week is Easter already!!! And we're having cell group on Good Friday, as always. Cell will not be as usual..it's gonna be quite different and details are not confirmed yet. I'll let u guys know what's happening on Sunday.

That's the update for now.. PS: The picnic is for real ok..not a April Fool's joke, and dun try to play a joke on debbie ok.

Good morning! Hope you are doing well. Just came across my morning devotional today, and thought of sharing here since we touched on the story of Joseph in last week's cell:

The Lord With You Equals Success

Genesis 39:2
2The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man…

You may have no qualifications, position or wealth — nothing in the natural. But when the Lord is with you, you will end up with everything because He will cause you to be successful.

Joseph had nothing when his Egyptian master, Potiphar, bought him from the slave market. Yet, even then, it was said of him, “The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man…” Joseph, the slave, a successful man?

He was a nobody with nothing, not even a shirt on his back, not a dime to his name, no family members with him and no friends to turn to. All he had was the presence of the Lord. But it was because of this that he became successful, rising later to be the most powerful man in Egypt, second only to Pharaoh, who set him over all the land of Egypt. Joseph was given power, authority and riches. (Genesis 41:40–44) This happened because the Lord was with him.

A junior college student worshipping in our church experienced good success in his examination results for the same reason. The first to admit that throughout his student life, he had only scored mediocre grades, he obtained his first ever straight As for all his subjects when he sat for the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) Examination simply believing that he would be successful because the Lord was with him!

Another church member, who was a fresh university graduate, believed that because the Lord was with her, she would be successful in the workforce. Even though she had no work experience and was faced with a gloomy job market, she succeeded in getting her first job in a short period of time and which gave her a salary beyond her expectations. Then, in spite of a directive from the parent company to freeze the wages of all employees, she received a pay increment as well as a company scholarship for further education!

Beloved, it does not matter if you are a nobody with nothing in the natural. When the Lord is with you, you will end up with everything because He will empower you to succeed, prosper and live the abundant life. Indeed, you will end up enjoying His favour, goodness and grace!

There was a man who worked for the Post Office whose job it was to process all the mail that had illegible addresses. One day, a letter came addressed in a shaky handwriting to God with no actual address.

He thought he should open it to see what it was about. The letter read: "Dear God, I am an 83 year old widow, living on a very small pension. Yesterday someone stole my purse. It had $100 in it, which was all the money I had until my next pension check. Next Sunday is Christmas, and I had invited two of my friends over for dinner. Without that money, I have nothing to buy food with. I have no family to turn to, and you are my only hope. Can you please help me? Sincerely, Edna" The postal worker was touched. He showed the letter to all the other workers. Each one dug into his or her wallet and came up with a few dollars. By the time he made the rounds, he had collected $96, which they put into an envelope and sent to the woman. The rest of the day, all the workers felt a warm glow thinking of Edna and the dinner she would be able to share with her friends. Christmas came and went.

A few days later, another letter came from the same old lady to God. All the workers gathered around while the letter was opened. It read, "Dear God, How can I ever thank you enough for what you did for me? Because of your gift of love, I was able to fix a glorious dinner for my friends. We had a very nice day and I told my friends of your wonderful gift. By the way, there was $4 missing. I think it must have been those bastards at the Post Office. Sincerely yours Edna".
